AUH ICAO: OMAA · Abu Dhabi International Airport مطار زايد الدولي
Zayed International Airport (AUH) is Abu Dhabi's main airport and the home hub of Etihad Airways. Until February 2024 it was called Abu Dhabi International — the old name still turns up in bookings and on maps. Since November 2023 all flights have used the new Terminal A, one of the world's largest by floor area (742,000 m², up to 45 million passengers a year); the former Terminals 1–3 are closed.
The airport is about 30 km from central Abu Dhabi, next to Yas Island: a taxi to hotels in the centre and on the Corniche takes 30–50 minutes. Dubai is about 100 km away, an hour to an hour and a half by car or bus, so if your hotel is in Dubai a flight into DXB is usually more convenient.
Terminal A has spacious halls, duty-free shops, a wide range of restaurants and cafes, and business and first-class lounges from several airlines, including Etihad's own lounge.
Multi-level covered parking adjoins the terminal, with hourly and daily rates; valet parking is available.

No, Abu Dhabi has no metro system at all. The main way to reach the city is by taxi (30-50 minutes) or a pre-booked transfer.
AUH; since 2024 the airport's official name is Zayed International, formerly Abu Dhabi International.
