The Dubai Opera

One of the most popular entertainment in Dubai - the Dubai Opera - was opened in 2016. The building of the Opera House immediately became not only a place where you can go to enrich yourself culturally, but also an architectural landmark. The opera house is located in the heart of downtown near the Burj Khalifa.

The opera is shaped like a traditional Arabic dhow boat, which used to be used by local fishermen to fish and search for pearls. The building is constructed of glass and metal, and is finished with wood inside. A special pride is the chandelier in the lobby, made of glass and pearl threads.

There is a garden on the roof and a restaurant where anyone can go up.

The opera house can accommodate up to 2,000 people.

Dress code at the Dubai Opera

There is no special dress code at the Dubai Opera, guests come in luxurious dresses and suits, in ordinary city clothes, and in national attire.

The 2025/26 season features more than 150 performances across genres — from classical opera and ballet to musicals (such as Wicked The Musical in late January–February 2026) and concerts. Ticket prices range from roughly AED 125 (≈$34) for regular shows up to AED 500 (≈$136) or more for premieres and headliners. The box office is open daily from 11:00 to 20:00, and tickets can also be bought online via the official website.
