The Green Planet Zoo

Dubai is a city that consists of the unusual, and the Green Planet Zoo is proof of this.

The Green Planet is an indoor zoo-greenhouse with tropical plants and amazing birds and animals. Bright birds chirp right above your head, an iguana lurks in the bushes, a cunning lemur peeks out from around the corner, and a sloth sleeps peacefully on a nearby tree.

A huge tree grows in the center of the zoo, which looks very unusual inside the building. The tour starts from the top floor and goes down. You will see caves in which bats live, artificial lakes with fish, including predatory piranhas, monkeys, turtles, lizards, snakes, and many other inhabitants of tropical latitudes. The room recreates the microclimate of the Amazon, although in Dubai it is usually so hot that the difference can be not noticed.

The Green Planet Zoo is located in the City Walk area, 3 km from the city center.

It will be especially interesting for children here, because many animals can be seen up close without any cages, with the exception of dangerous animals, such as snakes.

The zoo is small and can be walked around in less than an hour.

The entrance ticket costs $40. You may buy a ticket online.

The zoo is open every day from 10.00 to 19.00
