The Dubai Creek canal originates in the Persian Gulf. The length of the canal is 14 km.
It passes through almost the entire city and runs exactly along the border of two districts - Bur Dubai and Deira.
There is a city on both sides of the canal, and if you want to see it from the water, there are many ways to do it. Crossing on a traditional motorized abra from one bank to the other costs AED 1 per person (cash only, no cards or Nol cards accepted) — the most popular route connects Bur Dubai Abra Station and Deira Old Souk Abra Station. Renting a whole abra with a "driver" for an hour costs AED 120 (≈$33). An hour trip on a sightseeing boat through the canal costs about $15. Boats run between the Deira pier and the second pier near the market in the Bur Dubai area.
During the day, you can observe the "working" life of the city, and at night, illumination lights up on the streets, people appear on the embankments and fun begins.
If you want to enjoy the sunset and take wonderful pictures of the Arabian sun - just choose a boat, sit down and enjoy the sunset, the skyscrapers, and the Persian Gulf.
