Al Bateen Beach

Al Bateen beach is very clean and quite comfortable, with a gentle slope into the water, though rocks appear in places.
On the beach, you cannot rent an umbrella or sun lounger, and there are no shade shelters. However, there are changing cabins, showers, toilets, several cafes, as well as kiosks where you can buy food and drinks. There are several sports grounds near the beach, and walking paths are laid along the water. There is a playground on the beach.
Part of Al Bateen Beach is open only to women and children (including boys, but only up to 7 years old).
Al Bateen Beach offers an original view of the suspension bridge connecting Abu Dhabi with Al Hudayriat Island. This bridge used to be jokingly called “the bridge to nowhere”, but today Al Hudayriat Island is Abu Dhabi's leading sports and leisure destination: it has a free public beach stretching 600 m, cycling tracks (5 km and 10 km loops), extreme sports parks, camping, and waterfront restaurants.
The entrance to the beach is free.
