This beach, formerly known as Jumeirah Beach Park, is located near Jumeirah Public Beach.
In 2026 the beach underwent a major redevelopment and reopened in February under the name Jumeirah Beach 1 - the area grew by roughly 50%, about 250,000 m³ of new sand was added, along with smart storage lockers, AI-assisted lifeguard monitoring, and new jogging and cycling tracks. The old paid-entry model (a symbolic fee of a couple of dollars) is gone - the beach is now free and open around the clock, with no gate.
The site still has children's playgrounds, water sports equipment rentals, cafes and bars, and for an additional fee you can rent a sun lounger and an umbrella. There are special barbecue areas on the beach where you can cook lunch outdoors. Near the beach, there is a large park with green lawns, tropical plants and flowers, bicycle paths, and wonderful shady places to relax.
If you have settled in a hotel nearby, this beach will definitely be your find.
Don't confuse it with Marsa Al Arab - that's a separate new resort development further along the coast, not a rename of this beach.
