A city beach in the Umm Suqeim area, just 1.5 km from the Burj Al Arab hotel and 1 km from Wild Wadi Water Park. The beach is often called Sunset Beach — the view of Burj Al Arab from here is one of the best for photos.
What's on the beach
After a redevelopment, the beach now has running and cycling tracks, toilets and showers, changing cubicles, drinking water stations and playgrounds. A separate floodlit section is used for evening swimming. Nearby are several cosy cafés and good restaurants serving local and European food, with spacious terraces.
How to get there
The beach is on the Jumeirah waterfront, in the Umm Suqeim area, just north of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. A taxi is easiest; you can also reach it by bike or e-scooter along the coast.
Tips before you go
If you're after a beach with more infrastructure, head to Al Mamzar, JBR or La Mer. This one is a good spot to come to in the evening — listen to the waves, watch the sunset and the Burj Al Arab light up at night.
