Mall of the Emirates is one of Dubai's largest shopping and entertainment centres, in Al Barsha. Its big novelty is the indoor ski resort Ski Dubai, with real snow in the middle of the desert.
The mall is smaller than The Dubai Mall, but it has almost as many shops — more than 630, with plenty of European brands. It is noticeably less crowded, so if you are here to shop rather than sightsee, Mall of the Emirates is a great choice.
What you'll find in the mall
Shops. Hundreds of clothing, shoe and accessory brands in a mall decorated with Arabic touches, where some shop windows are works of art. For luxury brands, The Dubai Mall is still the better bet.
Ski Dubai. Ski slopes, a snow park for children and penguin encounters, all year round at sub-zero temperatures.
Cinema, cafés and restaurants for a full family day out.
How to get there
The easiest way is the metro: the station is simply called Mall of the Emirates and connects to the mall by a covered walkway. By car, there is a large car park.

Book Ski Dubai tickets online in advance, especially at weekends.
A major renovation is planned: in 2026 the owner, Majid Al Futtaim, announced about 20,000 sq m of new space, around 100 new shops, wellness centres and a 600-seat theatre.
