The Jumeirah Mosque

The Jumeirah Mosque attracts with its elegance and compactness, one might even say austerity and restraint.

During the day, the mosque looks beautiful against the blue sky, and in the evening the backlight turns on and brings a fabulous mood.

The Jumeirah Mosque is located just 2 km from the popular La Mer Beach, so if you are relaxing nearby, you should definitely stop by.

The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding is located in the mosque, and anyone can visit the building as a part of an excursion. The tour takes place every day except Friday at 10:00 (arrive at the main entrance by 9:45, no reservation needed) and lasts about 75 minutes. The price of the tour is AED 25 (≈$7), children under 12 enter free. At the start toofthe tour, you can optionally change into local national clothes. You can go in yours, if it is decent (your knees, arms, and shoulders must be covered). But the clothes offered to change into are made of very high quality materials and are also decorated with embroidery, which will give a special completeness to immersion in Arab culture.
