The Sheikh Zayed Bridge

The Sheikh Zayed Bridge connects the mainland of Abu Dhabi with one of the islands.

Most of all, the bridge is known for the fact that it was designed by Zaha Hadid, the most beloved architect of our time. Some say that she was ahead of her time, but in Abu Dhabi this "ahead" is quite pointful.

The supports and crossbars of the bridge resemble dunes or waves - both of which are relevant. The bay and the sand are what Abu Dhabi stands on.

During the day, the sun's rays reflect off the whiteness of the bridge, and at night it is illuminated by multi-colored spotlights.

How to find the Sheikh Zayed Bridge in Abu Dhabi

The bridge is located between the Park Arjaan by Rotana Hotel and the historic Al Makta Fort.
