teamLab Phenomena is the permanent museum of the Japanese art collective teamLab in the Saadiyat Cultural District, opened on 18 April 2025. It is the first building designed specifically for teamLab: about 17,000 square metres of installations that exist only through air, water and light.

What to see
The museum's concept is 'environmental phenomena': the works are made of mist, air currents, water and light, and change with them. Rooms include Levitation Void, Biocosmos, which you experience lying down, Morphing Continuum, Light Vortex, Wind Form, Flutter of Butterflies and Floating Microcosms. Some installations stand in knee-deep water, so you will need to roll up your clothes; towels are provided.
In the interactive rooms Graffiti Nature and Beating Earth, creatures drawn by visitors come alive on the walls, and the Sketch Factory turns your drawing into a souvenir. Two new works, Massless Suns and Dark Suns and Megaliths in the Roots Garden, opened in December 2025. For a break, try Lamp Tea House among lamps floating above water, or the Japanese patisserie Anko.
Getting there
The museum is in the Cultural District of Saadiyat Island, next to the Natural History Museum and Louvre Abu Dhabi. Driving or taking a taxi is easiest. If the main car park is full, use Saadiyat Car Park 3 or 4, with shuttles running continuously to the entrance. The nearest city bus is route 94 at the Abrahamic Family House.
Planning your visit
Entry is by timed ticket, and re-entry is not allowed. Online, adult tickets (13+) start at AED 155 and child tickets (4–12) at AED 55; under-4s enter free, and prices vary by date. Allow one and a half to three hours. The free teamLab app gives you a virtual queue for the busiest rooms.
Before you go
High heels are not allowed: wear trainers or flats and clothes that roll up to the knee, and bring a change of clothes for children. Belongings go in free lockers, strollers stay outside, and children under 12 must be with an adult. It is dark inside, with strobe, UV and fog effects, which matters for sensitive visitors and people with asthma. Personal photos and video are fine, but no flash, tripods or selfie sticks.
