Umm Al Quwain Fort & National Museum

Al Ali Fort in the old part of Umm Al Quwain was built in 1768 by Sheikh Rashid bin Majid Al Mualla as the ruling family's residence. It served as the emirate's seat of government until 1969, then as a police station, before opening in 2000 as the Umm Al Quwain National Museum.

The collection includes finds from the Ed-Dur archaeological site, historic weapons and cannons — allow 30–45 minutes for a visit. Several sources note that entry is cash-only.

Admission is AED 4 for adults, with children under 15 entering free. The museum is open Sat–Thu 8:00am–2:00pm, Fri 5:00–8:00pm.
