Kalba Beach is located in the city of Kalba and belongs to the emirate of Sharjah, though geographically it's closer to the emirate of Fujairah — not that it matters much, since there are no borders between the emirates.
This beach is famous for its crystal-clear water, yellow sand, and turtles, which you may occasionally spot on the beach.
The beach has no facilities, but is very spacious and uncrowded.
There are several cafes and grocery stores near the beach.
Another attraction nearby is the Al Corniche promenade, lined with palm trees, moored yachts and boats, shops and cafes; at the end of the promenade there's a large fish market where you can buy the freshest seafood.
Nearby is the Khor Kalba Conservation Reserve — the oldest mangrove forest in the UAE (some trees here reach 8 metres tall), home to nesting white-collared kingfishers and other migratory birds; you can explore it by kayak or boat. Right next door is the Kalba Bird of Prey Centre, where you can see falcons, eagles and owls up close.
