Qasr Al Hosn

Qasr Al Hosn is Abu Dhabi's oldest stone building. It grew from an 18th-century watchtower into the residence of the ruling Al Nahyan family and the emirate's seat of government, later underwent nearly a decade of restoration, and reopened as a permanent museum in December 2018.

The exhibition spans the Inner Fort, the Outer Palace, the House of Artisans and the traditional Bait Al Gahwa coffee house, all covered by a single ticket. Qasr Al Hosn stands next to the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation and shouldn't be confused with the separate, reconstructed Heritage Village.

Admission is AED 30 for adults; children under 17 enter free. The museum is open Sun–Thu, 9:00am–7:00pm, with extended Ramadan hours of 10:00am–10:00pm daily.
