Umbrella Beach – Fujairah's city beach

Umbrella Beach, Fujairah's city beach, is located 4 km from the city centre. The beach is fairly clean, though there is some minor construction going on at one end. The sand is a yellowish-grey colour, and the entry into the water is very gentle. The beach has no sunbeds or umbrellas for rent, but a landscaped promenade has recently appeared along it, with free restrooms, showers and a few cafes, plus food stalls, shaded rest areas, the Gulf of Oman, and seagulls overhead. You can play beach volleyball or padel, rent a kayak, or catch one of Fujairah's best sunsets over the gulf in the evening.
Because the beach is open and sits right in the city, swimming here is only allowed in a one-piece swimsuit, and you shouldn't wander beyond the beach area.
