Al Fahidi historical district
Al Fahidi Historical District is located on the bank of Dubai Creek.
Visit it to find out what an ordinary seaside area of Dubai looked like a hundred years ago. Here you will find low houses made of light stone, cozy cafes and colorful restaurants, and beautiful souvenir shops where you will buy silk scarves, embroidered slippers, colorful carpets, exquisite dishes, fragrant spices, and a thousand other little trinkets.
The nuance is that despite everything looking very authentic, just a couple of years ago, this area did not exist. All buildings were built from scratch, however, they are made very worthy, and there is no feeling that you have been deceived. On the contrary, the bright sun reflecting from houses, people in traditional Arabic clothes, calls to prayer, the splash of the bay, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee coming from the cafe create a special unique atmosphere of the old city. Here life flows slowly and smoothly, and no one is in a hurry.
In the evening, the streets of the old city are illuminated, and the mood becomes completely different, more romantic, and sincere. In this part of the city, there are a lot of excellent restaurants with low prices, where you can have a bite to eat with a view of the bay, and then take a walk along the embankment, ride a boat on the bay for a couple of dollars, breathe in the coolness.
