Al Seef historical district

Al Seef Historical District is located in a picturesque location near Dubai Creek.

If you've seen Dubai's most popular landmarks like the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall, and the artificial Palm Jumeirah island, it's time to move on to less obvious places. For example, the amazing Green Planet Zoo, the historical district Al Shindagha with its narrow streets and historical museums, or the Al Seef district, where you can admire traditional architecture and elegant yachts.
Speaking of unusual sights, 3 km from the Al Seef district is an unusual observation deck - the Golden Frame. There you can admire Dubai from a height of 150 meters.

The entire coast of Al Seef is lined with boats, yachts and abras. You can cross Dubai Creek by abra (around AED 1) to the Deira side, and the neighbouring historical district of Al Fahidi is just a few minutes' walk from Al Seef along the same bank.

If you move away from the pier, you will find yourself in the old city, or rather the "aged city". There is practically nothing left of the old city itself, but all the buildings are recreated very naturally, and if you don’t know that the city was built anew, you can’t guess anything. 
You will see houses, shops, and historical museums, you can dine in a stylish restaurant or enjoy aromatic coffee with date cookies. Everything looks the way it would look a hundred years ago and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Shops and restaurants at Al Seef Heritage Souq usually open 10:00-22:00 on weekdays and until 23:00 on Fri-Sun; the waterfront itself is open 24/7 and entry is free.
