Public beach Sandy Beach

Popular Sandy Beach is located in Al Aqah, 50 km from Al Fujairah. It is considered one of the best beaches in the emirate. One part of the beach belongs to the Sandy Beach Hotel and is available only to its guests. Another part belongs to the Fujairah camping site, so you can visit it with a tent, and the third part of the beach is free for all visitors. Lying on the sand, you can enjoy the view of Snoopy Island, the best place in Fujairah for diving and snorkeling. The coral reefs around the island are home to lobsters, octopuses, parrotfish, and other colourful creatures of the seabed, as well as rays and moray eels — small reef sharks turn up occasionally too. The best time for snorkelling around Snoopy Island is October to April, when the water is calmer and clearer (visibility is usually 8–15 metres); your best chance of spotting sea turtles is early in the morning. The beach is sandy, and the water in the bay is warm and clean — the perfect spot for your holiday.
