Dubai Creek and Festival City is the eastern bank of Dubai Creek next to the airport: the Dubai Festival City shopping district, the resort shore by the Dubai Creek yacht club and a nature reserve at the very end of the creek.

Why go

At Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, in the middle of the city, colonies of greater flamingos can be watched from free bird hides. For shopping there is Dubai Festival City Mall with an outlet centre and an IKEA store; for time by the water, the Dubai Creek Resort beach club at the Park Hyatt, looking out over the creek and the city.

How to get there

The district is 10–15 minutes from DXB airport, and Downtown is about 20 minutes away by taxi. A taxi is the easiest way to get around.
