Dubailand

Dubailand is a suburb along Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road that brings together large theme parks. There are no beaches or old town here — people come for half a day or an evening for a particular park.

Why go

Global Village is an open-air fair and festival with pavilions from more than 90 countries, street food and shows; it runs in seasons, from autumn to spring. IMG Worlds of Adventure is the world's largest indoor theme park, with Marvel and Cartoon Network zones — an escape from the heat all year round. Dubai Miracle Garden is a flower park with figures and arches made of tens of millions of flowers; it also closes for the summer.

How to get there

The metro does not reach Dubailand — taxi or car only, 20–30 minutes from Downtown. Check the season dates before going to Global Village or the Miracle Garden.
