Dubai Parks and Resorts

Dubai Parks and Resorts is a theme park complex in Jebel Ali, in the south-west of Dubai, away from the centre. It is a world of its own for a family break: parks, restaurants and a hotel on one site.

Why go

Legoland Dubai is aimed at children of roughly 2 to 12, with rides, workshops and model cities built from millions of Lego bricks. Motiongate is devoted to Hollywood, with zones based on well-known films and cartoons, roller coasters and shows. Allow a full day for each park.

Where to stay and who it suits

Staying here makes sense if you plan 2–3 days of parks in a row: there is a hotel on site, and the daily drive from the centre takes time.

How to get there

It is 40–50 minutes from Downtown by car or taxi and about 25 minutes from Dubai Marina. The nearest airport is Al Maktoum (DWC).
